REPUBLICA is inspired by the historical events that immediately precede the Spanish Civil War, an energetic and sexy lament for the Spanish Revolution and the ideals of The Second Republic (1931-1939). This is a show about the politics of rhythm, a radical reclaiming of history as told by a stripper, a flamenco dancer and a punk guitarist. With the rise of divisive politics across the world, this celebrates the last time the idealists actually won.
